Hi:

This is the website for Owen Carter, a British guy who has been living in Amsterdam for the last 11 years.

I'm afraid there is nothing earth-shattering here, no solutions for World Peace, no cures for peoples ills.. Just a few of my photos and ramblings.

Internet ‘safety’

…you can drill into your kid that the internet is full of weird people and christians.
- ‘David’, in a letter to my favorite newspaper, The Register.

Nog meer?

Following last Fridays success, and the fact that I feel great, I’m thinking of doing it again in Weesp (which is just around the corner from my place).

Time to race

10-Km in 54:56, certainly a new personal best. But a lot of people ahead of me, I was 435′th out of 650.

Bum.

Dead fish.
Not happy.
RIP Camilla :-(

MidSummer is coming

And I am off on another run, the MidZomerNachtCross in Amsterdamse Bos.
Starts at 9 in the evening, sounds perrfect, I’m just running the 10K event.

A priest asked: What is Fate, Master?

And the Master answered:
It is that which gives a beast of burden its reason for existence.
It is that which men in former times had to bear upon their backs.
It is that which has caused nations to build byways from City to City
upon which carts and coaches pass, and alongside which inns have come
to be built to stave off Hunger, Thirst and Weariness.
And that is Fate? said the priest.
Fate … I thought you said Freight, responded the Master.
That’s all right, said the priest.
I wanted to know what Freight was too.
