Hi:

This is the website for Owen Carter, a British guy who has been living in Amsterdam for the last 11 years.

I'm afraid there is nothing earth-shattering here, no solutions for World Peace, no cures for peoples ills.. Just a few of my photos and ramblings.

My best Christmas Present

My own present to myself..
The FishTank in it's new position
Was to bring my fish tank back from Mum and Dad’s place.
And then add fish.

I’ve named them now, with Romeo and Juliette taking the early lead..

I was also thinking of George and Tony, especially since the fish, both males, spend a lot of their time with their noses up each others bottom.

Given the previous, another good contender was Elton and David, but in truth I couldn’t stand giving them any more publicity.

So, I think Nigel was right all along, I’ll keep it traditional, Charles and Camilla it is!

Merry Christmas Everyone :-)

All we want for Christmas

Mads seems to have it summed up really well on his latest posting:

Someone asked me what I want for Christmas this year. So here is my whishlist:
- I whish for Peace on Earth.
- I wish that Man will wake up from the illusion, that there is a “higher entity” being responsible for our actions, and start dealing with our selfcreated situation.
- I wish that People will stop expecting to be judged by others. That they will free themselves from the roles they think they are forced to take, and look forward instead of backwards.

Amen.

He also added a clip to illustrate this :-)

Christmas is coming

I like Christmas, it’s a time to be with the family..
but it has it’s good side too.

Tabbed Web pages

Humm.. The BBC website (international version) has just adoped a design style with ‘tabs’ at the top to aid navigation. And, despite my initial ‘so what’ response, I looked at the site and found that in fact I rather like the design. I may even use something like that when this site next gets a makeover.

Every cloud has a silver lining,

but, then again, so does every cigarette packet.

Why a Theory can be stronger than a Belief.

Interesting item discussing why the ability of scientists to disprove evolution makes it more believable than Faith in a creator.
